Esther Perel’s wisdom and approach to navigating difficult but necessary conversations shine like no other.
Dear Therapists with Lori Gottlieb and Guy Winch
We are big fans of these two dynamic therapist and psychologist duos. Both have famous TED Talks videos that have garnered plenty of views. Their rapport is incredible and unmatched, as they give listeners a firsthand experience of their intimate clinical sessions. The range of issues presented is quite diverse, deeply personal, and very raw. We believe listening to this podcast is like free therapy and counseling. The advice given is highly beneficial and sustainable.
Jillian on Love by Jillian Turecki
Jillian Turecki is one of our favorite relationship experts and coaches for the sole reason that a lot of her teachings are focused on healing and building a stronger sense of the inner self. She provides a lot of great practical advice on recognizing patterns that may jeopardize relationships due to insecurities and unhealed emotional wounds. This podcast covers a lot of issues with modern relationships.
EmPowered Couples with The Freemans by Aaron and Jocelyn Freeman
Husband and wife Aaron and Jocelyn Freeman provide very powerful tools and resources to help enhance one’s intimate relationships. As coaches, their workshops have been far-reaching and very well received. Emphasizing the 3 C’s (communication, conflict, and connection), their podcast has been created to teach the skills necessary to handle communication barriers, to resolve conflict cycles, and to improve the layers of connection required in a committed partnership.
Rikki and Jimmy on Relationships by Jimmy Knowles and Rikki Cloos
Both Jimmy Knowles and Rikki Cloos make a fantastic combination as hosts, discussing pertinent relationship advice and topics. They are one of the newer podcasts available, but they continue to grow with helpful content. Our favorite episodes include the ones they have with Stan Tatkin and Sue Johnson. Both are experts in attachment theory and its impact on the emotional connection that we have with our partners.
Reimagining Love with Dr. Alexandra Solomon
Dr. Solomon has great advice and tools for improving one’s self-awareness, specifically relational self-awareness. Her podcast is diverse and covers a lot of topics, including discussions about dating, relationships, family, and therapy. It is informative, lighthearted, and warm. This is one of our favorite podcasts for improving one’s EQ.
Relationship Alive! by Neil Sattin
We like this podcast because there are numerous episodes with relationship researchers and experts, many of whom we also recommend. Neil Sattin is passionate about improving relationships, and it shows in his educational interview style.
Being Well with Forrest Hanson and Dr. Rick Hanson
Forrest Hanson and his father, Rick Hanson, pair synergistically in a podcast that we recommend on improving one’s emotional well-being. They have many episodes that touch on topics like mindfulness, healing, and personal growth and do a wonderful job at bringing in other experts and speakers.
Relationship Renovation by EJ and Tarah Kerwin
The hosts are both therapists and a married couple who are trying to teach others on matters related to intimacy, communication, and marriage. Their advice is insightful, as they try to tackle many common issues that affect relationships.
